Walk-Up Registration & Same-Day Badge Printing
Not everyone registers in advance. Walk-up registration stations let you take a registration at the door, add the attendee to the live event roster, and print their badge on the spot.
The sequence takes under a minute: details are captured at the desk, payment is taken if your event charges at the door, the attendee is written to the roster, and their name badge prints on demand with the same QR code, barcode or RFID encoding as every pre-registered attendee.
That last point is what matters operationally. A walk-up attendee is not a special case to be reconciled later — the moment their badge is printed they can be scanned into sessions, counted in conference attendance tracking, granted or refused access to ticketed sessions, credited with CEUs, and captured by exhibitors running lead retrieval. There is no separate list of day-of registrations to merge afterwards.
Real-Time Attendee Roster Management
Your event roster is one live list, from the first pre-registration through to the last scan on the closing day. Registrations, cancellations, name corrections, session changes and walk-ups all write to the same record, so there is never a question of which spreadsheet is current.
Because it is live, everything downstream reads the current state: badge stations print from it, check-in stations look attendees up in it, access rules are applied from it, and attendance is recorded against it. A change made at the registration desk is visible at a self-service badge station moments later.
If registrations are taken in another system, the roster API keeps the two in step: registrations can be pushed to us as they happen, and attendance and check-in data pulled back out. Rosters can also be imported in bulk and exported at any point, during or after the event.
What is event registration software?
Event registration software collects attendee details and payment before an event, and maintains the resulting list — the roster — as the authoritative record of who is coming. For a conference it also has to carry through to the event itself: printing badges, checking people in, controlling access to ticketed sessions and recording attendance against the same records it created.
Can attendees register at the conference?
Yes. Walk-up registration stations take a registration at the door, add the attendee to the live roster and print their badge immediately. They are tracked in sessions and scannable by exhibitors from that moment, with no separate day-of list to reconcile afterwards.
Can online registration integrate with badge printing?
Yes — they run from the same roster. A badge is printed from the attendee's registration record, which is what allows a late registration or a name correction to be handled at the desk and reflected on the badge seconds later. Badges carry QR, barcode or RFID encoding tied back to that same record.
Can registration data update the attendee roster in real time?
Yes. Registrations write to the roster as they are processed rather than in a nightly batch, so badge stations, check-in stations and attendance reporting are all working from the current list at any moment during the event.
Can registration integrate with another event management system?
Yes. If you already take registrations elsewhere, the roster API lets that system push registrations to us as they happen and pull attendance and check-in data back. Bulk imports and exports are available as well, so you are not obliged to move your registration process to use our on-site tools.
